This is a very interesting chapter.
I find it very interesting that Paul says Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
So if Adam was not deceived, why did he eat the fruit?
Romans 5:14 says: Adam was a figure of him that was to come.
I take this all to mean that Adam ate of the fruit knowingly, thereby laying down his life as it were to redeem his wife.
Is this a fore-model of Jesus willingly laying down his life for his wife the Church, and becoming sin for her?
