Greeting
PAUL, an apostle, (not of men, neither through man, but through Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead);
2 And all the brothers which are with me; to the congregations of Galatia:
3 Grace to you and peace from God the Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ,
4 Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil age, according to the will of God our Father:
5 To whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.
One Gospel
6 ¶ I am amazed that you are so soon turned away from him that called you into the grace of Christ, to another different gospel:
7 Not that there is another! But there are some that trouble you, and wish to alter the gospel of Christ.
8 But even if we, or an Angel from heaven: preach any other gospel to you than that which we have already preached to you: Let him be accursed!
9 As we said before, so now I say again: If any man proclaim any other gospel to you than that you have already received, let him be accursed!
10 For am I now seeking to persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men: I would not be the bond-servant of Christ.
Paul’s Call to Apostleship
11 ¶ And I make known to you, brothers; that the gospel which was proclaimed from me is not according to man.
12 For I neither received it from man, nor was taught it: but rather through revelation of Jesus Christ.
13 For you have heard of my conduct in times past in Judaism; how that beyond measure, I persecuted the congregation of God, and tried to destroy it:
14 And advanced in the Jews’ religion above many of my contemporaries in my own nation; being exceedingly more zealous of the traditions of my fathers.
15 ¶ But when it pleased God, He set me apart in my mother’s womb, and called me through his grace;
16 To reveal his Son in me, that I might proclaim him among the nations. I immediately conferred not with flesh and blood;
17 Nor went up to Jerusalem to those which were apostles before me: but I went into Arabia, and returned again to Damascus.
18 Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to become acquainted with Peter, and abode with him fifteen days.
19 But the other apostles I saw none, except James the Lord’s brother.
20 ¶ Now the things which I write to you; behold, in the sight of God, I do not lie.
21 Afterwards I came into the regions of Syria and Cilicia;
22 And was not known by face to the congregations of Judea which were in Christ.
23 But they had heard only: That he which persecuted us in times past, now proclaims the faith which he once destroyed.
24 And they glorified God in me.
