I was doing a word study of the Greek word which is translated to believe in the old King James verse. I have changed this word now to faith as this is its correct meaning and also the way it is translated in every other instance. Also I have updated ‘perdition’ to ‘destruction’ which gives this word more emphasis in English. I have also retranslated this passage from:
But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.
To:
But we are not of them who draw back unto destruction; rather of faith for the saving of the soul.
