James is considered to be the brother of Jesus who did not believe in him as the Christ until after his death.
James letter is really powerful in that it is easy to understand and give practical advice on living a Godly life and on how to please God. I think the most important point to take away from James is that it is the doers of the word that are justified, not those who hear only.
