I have changed the word Jesus to Joshua in Hebrews 4:8 as this passage is clearly speaking of Joshua son of Nun from the Book of Joshua. Joshua and Jesus are the same name in Hebrew and Greek however have been translated differently. This insight is important as you can, by knowing this, correctly assume that the Book of Joshua in the Old Testament could also be correctly called The Book of Jesus! If you can understand this you can also begin to understand that the Book of Joshua is prophetic of Jesus’ future role as outlined in the Book of Revelation.
