Sister Phoebe Commended
I COMMEND to you Phebe our sister being a servant of the congregation which is at Cenchreae:
2 In order that you receive her in the Lord, as is befitting the holy ones, and that you assist her in whatsoever undertaking she has need of you: for she has been a helper of many, and of myself also.
Greet the Saints in Rome
3 ¶ Greet Priscilla and Aquila my fellow workers in Christ Jesus:
4 Who have for my life, risked their own necks: to whom not only I give thanks, but also all the congregations of the nations.
5 Likewise greet the congregation that is in their house. Greet my wellbeloved Epaenetus, who is the firstfruits of Achaia for Christ.
6 Greet Mary, who greatly laboured with us.
7 ¶ Send greetings to Andronicus and Junia, my countrymen, and my fellowprisoners, who are of good reputation amongst the apostles, who also were in Christ before me.
8 Greet Amplias my beloved in the Lord.
9 Greet Urbane, our fellow worker in Christ, and Stachys my beloved.
10 Greet Apelles tested and proven in Christ. Greet them which are of Aristobulus’ household.
11 ¶ Send greetings to Herodion my kinsman. Greet them that be of the household of Narcissus, which are in the Lord.
12 Greet Tryphena and Tryphosa, who labour in the Lord. Greet the beloved Persis, who labours greatly in the Lord.
13 Greet Rufus elect in the Lord, and his mother and mine.
14 Greet Asyncritus, Phlegon, Hermas, Patrobas, Hermes, and the brothers which are with them.
15 Greet Philologus, and Julia, Nereus, and his sister, and Olympas, and all the holy ones which are with them.
16 Greet one another with a holy kiss. The congregations of Christ send greetings to you.
Keep Away from False Brothers
17 ¶ Now I beg you, brothers, look out for those which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which you have learned; and keep away from them.
18 For such as they are not bond-servants of our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own physical desires; and by smooth speech and flattery mislead the hearts of the naïve.
Your Obedience has Become Known
19 ¶ For your obedience has become known to all. Therefore I rejoice concerning you. And I desire you to be wise concerning good, on the one hand; but innocent concerning evil on the other.
20 And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet in a short time. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.
21 ¶ Timothy my fellow worker, and Lucius, and Jason, and Sosipater, my kinsmen, greet you.
22 I Tertius, who wrote this letter, greet you in the Lord.
23 Gaius my host, and of the whole congregation, send greetings to you. Erastus the treasurer of the city sends greetings to you, and Quartus our brother.
24 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
The Mystery kept Hidden
25 ¶ Now to him that has power to establish you in accordance with my gospel, and the proclamation of Jesus Christ in accordance with revelation of the mystery; which, since the world began until now has not been spoken of.
26 But now is made known through the scriptures of the prophets in accordance with the command of the eternal God; made known, for the purpose of obedience by faith for all nations.
27 To God who alone is wise, be glory through Jesus Christ in all ages and forever. Amen.
