שָׂרָף This Hebrew work was sometimes translated as Seraphim and sometimes as fiery serpent. There are other Hebrew words for serpent and viper and the exact meaning is unclear so I changed this word to Seraph in the singular and Seraphim in the plural for consistency. These words are basically transliterations of the original Hebrew word and the reader can assign their own meaning to them by comparing the versus they appear in.
